General Provisions

Establishment and organizational structure

1.1

The primary organization of the women's committee of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute is a self-governing organization voluntarily created by women.

1.2

The Committee operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Laws "On Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations" and "On Public Associations", and these Regulations.

Organizational Structure

2.1

The Committee is established by decision of its members.

2.2

Every woman working in the team, regardless of nationality, education, or social status, has the right to become a member of the Committee.

2.3

Individuals who have reached the age of eighteen may be members of the Committee.

2.4

The chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Committee are elected at the general meeting of members for a period of 5 years.

2.5

In the primary organization, based on the number of members, a Council of up to 15 people may be elected.

2.6

The chairperson of the Women's Committee reports once a year as a member of the academic council of the higher educational institution.

Goals and Tasks

Main directions of the primary organization's activities

3.1 — Main Goal

Ensuring the active participation of women in the processes of implementing economic and social reforms in society, increasing their legal literacy, protecting their legitimate interests, protecting motherhood and childhood, building strong families, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and enhancing spiritual development.

3.2 — Tasks

Increasing the socio-economic, political activity of women, their legal knowledge, and protecting their legitimate interests

Creating conditions for increasing women's spiritual, intellectual, professional potential and labor activity

Providing comprehensive assistance to low-income, socially unprotected, women with disabilities, and single women

Cultivating loyalty to national ideas, values, customs, and traditions; holding cultural and educational events

Improving the social and spiritual environment, preventing exposure to religious extremism and unhealthy movements

Cooperating with women's committees of the republic, region, city, district, medical institutions, and state organizations

Increasing women's interest in reading books and organizing regular visits to information resource centers

Preparing female students for family life, directing young families toward social activity

Increasing women's interest in sports, organizing various sports competitions

Rights and Duties

4.1 — Powers of the primary organization

Adopt normative documents that do not contradict the Charter of the regional women's committee and these Regulations

In the established manner, elect their representatives to the composition of higher women's committees, recall and replace them

Appeal to higher organizations and receive information on all issues of the activities of women's committees

Submit draft documents for consideration by conferences and elected bodies of higher organizations

Participate in preparing talented girls for nomination for the Zulfiya State Prize and state scholarships

Submit nominations to higher women's committees for the nomination of talented, active women for various state awards

Strengthening the social, economic, political and labor activity of women in society, protecting their rights and interests

Improving labor relations, ensuring women's employment, raising their social status

Helping female students find their place in life, master methods of self-education and self-improvement

5.1 — Basic Principles

Electability of the governing bodies of the primary organization

Accountability of elected bodies to their organization and higher committees

Collegiality and transparency in the work of elected bodies

Equal rights of all primary organizations

Freedom of discussion in decision-making and ensuring unconditional implementation after adoption

7.1 — Bodies

General Meeting (Conference)

The supreme body of the primary organization. Held as needed, but at least once a year.

Presidium

Elected for a period of 5 years to conduct current affairs. Meetings are held at least once a quarter.

Chairperson

Has the status of deputy rector for spiritual and moral education on women's issues.

Chairperson's Powers

6.1 — Powers of the institute women's committee chairperson

Maintaining the passport of the primary organization and ensuring the availability of necessary regulatory documents

Providing guidance on implementing the Committee's annual work plan, coordinating the activities of lower-level units

Establishing the "Kizlarjon" club at the institute and setting up its activities

Giving direct instructions to the chairpersons of faculty and staff women's committees when conducting spiritual and educational events

Directly leading the implementation of current work plans by the chairpersons of faculty and department women's committees

Ensuring the conduct of minutes of meetings and gatherings related to the Committee's activities

Ensuring that necessary conditions are created by the institute administration (room, furniture, computer, internet)

Making proposals for material and moral encouragement of women who set an example with their activities at the institute

Participating as a member in attestation and competition commissions established at the institute

Directly involving faculty and students in spiritual and educational events on matters of spirituality and enlightenment

Status

The chairperson of the institute's women's committee has the status of deputy rector for spiritual and moral education on women's issues and reports to the vice-rector for spiritual and moral education in the work process.
