Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute has been developing its international cooperation since 2004 and currently collaborates with more than 120 foreign universities and research organizations.

The institute operates on the basis of bilateral cooperation agreements with countries in Central Asia, the CIS, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The institute is a regular participant in international grant programs such as Erasmus+, ITEC, JICA, KOICA, and Fulbright.

During the activity of the International Cooperation Department, more than 500 students have participated in academic mobility programs at foreign higher education institutions.

More than 1000 highly qualified foreign professors and lecturers from partner universities have been involved in the educational process, delivering lectures and practical training sessions.

Department activities and participation in international projects

Attracting foreign students: We actively involve foreign students in the educational process in order to create an inclusive educational environment.

Cooperation: In recent years, the institute has embarked on the path of internationalization and has achieved significant results. As a result, in a short time, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute has signed memorandums of understanding and established cooperation with more than 80 universities around the world. As a result of the work done, students of the institute have the opportunity to study at prestigious universities in such countries as Russia, Belarus, Slovakia, Poland, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Turkey, South Korea, China, Malaysia on the basis of student exchange programs. In addition, the regular involvement of foreign professors and teachers in the teaching process creates an opportunity for students to study foreign experience and apply the knowledge gained in their fields in the future. Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute has also managed to open joint educational programs with such prestigious educational institutions as Kazan Federal University, Don State Technical University, National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute", Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Changshu Institute of Technology.

Monitoring the level of foreign language proficiency: The International Cooperation Department monitors the process of studying foreign languages ​​​​of students and professors of the institute and provides practical assistance in obtaining language certificates. It is also worth noting that in order to attract foreign students, groups have been established in the faculties of "Transport", "Construction Materials and Chemical Technology" and "Industrial Technologies" of the institute, where subjects are taught in English. International projects: Since 2008, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute has been actively participating in the Tempus and Erasmus+ grant projects of the European Union (Tempus (CAD / CAM / CAE, Engitec, HIGHVEC), Erasmus + (Intra-Intellectual Transport Systems: A New Master's Program for Uzbekistan Based on Act, TRIGGER, REILEAP, DEBSEUz, TEX4FUTURE, GREENDT)). In the implementation of these projects, not only professors and teachers of the institute are involved, but also students of the institute are actively involved. Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute is one of the leading universities in the field of sustainable development and industrial cooperation, going beyond the traditional framework of education. The Institute has a scientific and practical center for research on alternative energies, as well as cooperation with enterprises such as BYD, the leading automotive company in Uzbekistan, Jizzakh Cement, Jizzakh ADM Automobile Plant, Knauf Bukhara Building Materials Enterprise, Roison Electronics, Basalt Wool, Jizzakh Kenteks, JAZ Battery, which allows students to participate in real projects and contribute to the development of the economy of Uzbekistan.

International rankings: Currently, the Institute pays special attention to its position in international rankings. In 2025, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute ranked 851-900 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 ranking of the best Asian universities. In 2024, the university was ranked 1501+ in the Impact Ranking of the international university ranking agency THE and received the status of Reporter for The World Universities Rankings 2025. In addition, the institute ranked 370th in the world and 4th among universities in Uzbekistan in the UI Green Metric ranking, which shows that it is not indifferent to environmental sustainability.

Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute has established effective cooperation with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. The institute collaborates with leading Russian universities, including Tyumen Industrial University, Kazan Federal University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Don State Technical University, Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, Kuzbass State Technical University, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”, Ural Federal University, Penza State University of Architecture and Construction, Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology, and Moscow State University of Civil Engineering.

In addition, cooperation has been established with universities in the Republic of Belarus, including Brest State Technical University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University of Transport, and Vitebsk State Technological University. We implement these partnerships through academic mobility, joint research, and educational programs.

Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute is consistently developing international scientific and educational cooperation with European countries. The institute has established effective partnerships with leading higher education institutions in Greece, Hungary, Poland, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Slovakia, Spain, and Portugal.

In particular, cooperation has been established with the Technical University of Crete (Greece); Óbuda University, John von Neumann University, and the University of Szeged (Hungary); Rzeszów University of Technology and the University of Kielce (Poland); the University of Parma and the University of Cagliari (Italy); the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom); the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Western Saxony) and the University of Applied Sciences Zittau–Görlitz (Germany); the University of Žilina (Slovakia); Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo and the University of Aveiro (Portugal); as well as the University of Vigo, the University of Évora, and the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain).

Within the framework of this cooperation, academic mobility programs for students and faculty members are actively implemented, including study and research internships under Erasmus+ projects. In addition, joint research activities, international conferences, seminars, and training programs are regularly organized.

Collaboration with European universities contributes to aligning the institute’s education system with international standards, introducing innovative technologies, and enhancing its scientific potential. As a result, students and young researchers gain modern knowledge and valuable international experience.

Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute is actively developing international scientific and educational cooperation with Middle Eastern countries. The institute has established effective partnerships with leading higher education institutions in Turkey, Iran, and Azerbaijan.

In particular, cooperation has been established with universities in Turkey, including Ege University, Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University, Izmir Institute of Technology, Kayseri University, Anadolu University, Erzurum Technical University, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Istanbul Technical University, Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, Yeditepe University, Hacettepe University, Karadeniz Technical University, Uskudar University, and Bartin University.

In addition, partnerships have been developed with the University of Tehran, Iran University of Science and Technology, Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology, and Sharif University of Technology (Iran), as well as Azerbaijan Technical University.

Within the framework of this cooperation, academic mobility programs, joint research activities, international conferences, seminars, and training programs are actively implemented.

Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute is actively developing international scientific and educational cooperation with countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The institute has established effective partnerships with leading higher education institutions in the People’s Republic of China, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In particular, cooperation has been established with universities in China, including North China University of Technology, Jiangnan University, Suzhou University of Technology, Shihezi University, Hefei University of Technology, and Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology.

In addition, partnerships have been developed with INTI International University, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, the University of Malaya, and the International Cultural Communication Center Malaysia (ICCCM); with Sun Moon University, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, and Kunjang University College (Republic of Korea); as well as with the National Textile University (Faisalabad, Pakistan).

Within the framework of this cooperation, academic mobility programs, joint research activities, international conferences, seminars, and training programs are actively implemented.
