During the seminar-training, participants were introduced to the following strategic areas aimed at addressing global and regional environmental issues:
The European Union’s “The Green Deal” programme: the participants discussed the study of Europe’s strategy for combating climate change, its adaptation to the local educational process, and the modernization of educational content.
Climate Change Adaptation: taking into account the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan, the importance of developing innovative engineering solutions aimed at mitigating negative environmental impacts was emphasized.
European Law: the seminar covered the analysis of international legal norms in the field of environmental engineering and their integration into newly developed master’s degree curricula.
The internal training, which started at the Faculty of Industrial Technologies, was later continued at the Engineering School of the institute. This initiative creates a solid foundation for cooperation among professors, researchers, and young scientists working in various engineering fields on issues related to the green economy and sustainable development.
The main objective of the GreenDT project is to establish a system in Uzbekistan’s higher education sector for training highly qualified master’s graduates who are able to address environmental challenges through modern engineering and legal knowledge and who are prepared for social change.
